Bogiez is Cardiff’s ultimate rock, metal and alternative club night.  The biggest, best and longest running rock and metal club night Cardiff, with a long history that at one point ended but was brought back to life!

It’s story keeps unfolding, providing Cardiff’s (and beyond!) rock and metal masses with a regular event that’s atmosphere is unsurpassed, delivering relentless storms of the finest tunes from way back when to current day in a killer venue, with a huge soundsystem and a drinks deal friendly BAR!

Bogiez takes place on the first, third and occasional fifth Saturday of each and every month at the Millennium Music Hall in Cardiff city centre (just on it’s outskirts, avoiding the culture-clash hordes from Cardiff’s trendy nightclubs).

Below is a little bit of history about the night.

The original Bogiez was born many moons ago on Penarth Road in Cardiff – A club that will long be remembered as a core part of Cardiff’s Rock and Metal scene.

Sadly, after many years, the original Bogiez had to come to end.  From this time on a great void was left in the Cardiff rock scene on the weekend, with very few places for like-minded rocking folk to gather.

People longed for the return of Bogiez, and some years later – that day came.  On one cold, stormy November night, several dark wizards gathered.  Wielding their corrupt metal magic, they resurrected the legendary spirit of Bogiez that had lingered since it’s old home had closed.

Bogiez was reborn in it’s new incarnation at the Engine Rooms!

Resurrected from the ashes of its former self (quite literally!), Bogiez was back, reconstructed for the modern age with one simple yet profound goal – To once again offer South Wales a much needed night full of music with POWER!

Shortly after the rebirth of Bogiez, it’s new home was overcome by forces that the dark Wizards had not fortold and Bogiez was once again searching for a new home…

Immediately the Dark Ones gathered in search of a new and sacred ground to accommodate Bogiez, and immediately, they found it!

Once hallowed ground, a place long guarded by the spirits of Rock & Roll – The Point, a gothic style, stone built CHURCH OF ROCK, erected over a 100 years ago became the new vessel that would house Bogiez.

After over 4 years of some righteous rockin’ at The Point, the sad closure of the venue in 2009 forced Bogiez to once again search for a new home.

After a great deal of interest from several awesome venues in Cardiff City Centre, and masses of public support, Bogiez relocated temporarily to "The Venue" in Cardiff City Centre where it remained for 6 months.

In October of the same year, Bogiez moved to it’s permanent new home at the Millennium Music Hall (opposite Cardiff Central Bus/Train Station), part of the Millennium Plaza complex where it continues to deliver the finest rock, metal and alternative every 1st and 3rd Saturday.
